.- Dr. Marwan Al Sultan was a 49-year-old Palestinian cardiologist who lived in Gaza City.

.- He had studied in Jordan, from where he returned in 2019 to help his country, despite having opportunities to work outside Gaza. He lived with his wife, three children, and son-in-law in a rented apartment on the third floor of a building in the Tal Al Hawa neighborhood in southwest Gaza City.

.- He was an eminent cardiologist who worked at the Indonesian Hospital. He also worked as an associate professor at the Islamic University's Faculty of Medicine.

.-At Al Shifa Hospital, he had worked for a time alongside Dr. Adnan Al Bursh when they were forced to leave the hospitals where they usually worked because they were besieged, attacked, and destroyed by the occupying army. They also worked together later in the reconstruction of Al Shifa Hospital after it was destroyed by Israel in 2023.

.-Dr. Marwan was the director of the Indonesian Hospital. This hospital was besieged and evacuated by the Israeli Occupation Forces in November 2023, with more than 20,000 displaced civilians taking refuge there. After emptying it and destroying machinery and services, it was used as a “military base.” In June 2024, the Indonesian Hospital reopened and was the only medical center in northern Gaza.

.- On July 2, 2025, a missile fired from an F-15 was directed at his apartment, fatally wounding him in the abdomen. He died moments later. His wife, youngest daughter, son-in-law, and sister also died in the attack on his home. His other two children, Lubna, his eldest daughter, and Ahmed, aged 17, survived.
