I began drawing the stories digitally, using Krita. I decided to create all the stories in six panels so they could be printed on a single sheet and thus accompany the portraits on the back. Later, several collaborators joined the project: Dolores Collado, Julia Estrada, and Rebeca Expósito, using either hand-drawn or digital illustrations.
Once the story of each martyr was complete, we began their portrait using acrylic paint on cardboard. We started painting them on the street, at the weekly rallies for Palestine in Madrid’s Puerta del Sol.
Each story is summarized on a single page in PDF format, laid out by Paul Saez.
